CHEMISTRY SPECIFICATION
pH 4.5 Target
Pet Urine on Synthetic Carpet
0 (Acid) 7.0 (Neutral) 14 (Alkali)
pH 4.5
CRITICAL CONTRAINDICATION / DO NOT DO:
NEVER apply hot steam (>140°F) to fresh pet urine! Extreme heat denatures urine proteins, permanently bonding yellow pigments to carpet fibers.
ACTIVE AGENT Citric/Sulfamic acid pre-conditioner followed by Live Protease Enzyme
MANDATORY DWELL TIME Phase 1: 15 min acid soak | Phase 2: 4-hour enzyme dwell
TEMPERATURE Warm (105°–115°F)
MECHANICAL AGITATION Sub-surface extraction tool (Water Claw)
Sequential Protocol Steps FIELD EXECUTION ORDER
- Inspect with 395nm UV light and digital moisture probe to map sub-padding spread.
- Inject low-pH acid rinse (pH 4.5) to dissolve alkaline uric phosphate salt crystals.
- Extract subfloor and pad using Water Claw sub-surface vacuum plate.
- Apply live enzymatic odor digester; cover with plastic barrier for 4 hours dwell.
- Final hot-water extraction with acidic neutralizing rinse; run high-velocity air movers.
Scientific Reaction Mechanism
Acid treatment neutralizes insoluble alkaline urate salts back into solution; subsequent enzymes digest remaining organic pheromones, eliminating pet repeat marking.
